Borders On!

I sewed the blocks together and added a plain border. I could have taken the easy way out and stopped there, but instead I took the time to make half square triangles for the border.  I'm glad I did!

I was working from scraps and was OUT of golds.  I rounded up the browns, introduced a couple new ones, and stitched them up with a variety of cream prints.  Do you think it needs another gold border???

  1. It looks good like it is, but perhaps another gold border would contain it a bit? Very rich looking...nice hugs, Julierose

  2. I like the idea of another border too, for softer edges may be?

  4. Lovely border. I like the way you placed it with light to the outside. More borders is better.

  8. Nice work Sujata, I just posted a link to this page on my facebook. Someone was asking about irregular flying geese and thought of you.

  9. Hello Sujata! My sister, Pam Cope, just gave me a copy of your book. It is so inspiring. I love it. As far as your question above, if you are out of golds, then maybe an olive green and yellow pieced border? The cream is asking for something, I'd have to audition some different examples. Maybe some of the darks in the main section turned over to become lights and piece them with dark olive or blue... wonder what you'll decide?
